What you choose to share
Newsletter signup collects your email, consent record, signup date, and subscription status. Contact forms collect your email, selected topic, message, optional article URL, and submission date. Do not send medical records, diagnoses, payment details, or other sensitive information.
How information is used
Newsletter information is used to manage the weekly update list and deliver email through MailerLite. Contact information is used to handle editorial questions, corrections, and privacy requests. Messages sent directly to rootandevidence@gmail.com are processed through Gmail; the website contact form stores requests separately in the site database. Submitting a contact form does not subscribe you. Library searches and selected health-goal filters are not attached to newsletter submissions.
Service providers and hosting
This site runs on Sites hosting with Cloudflare services. Hosting and security providers may process technical request data to operate and protect the site. MailerLite processes newsletter subscriber information. Our application stores subscription records and contact submissions in its hosting database. This site does not add advertising pixels or its own analytics trackers; hosting authentication and security may use cookies or similar technology.
Retention and your choices
Use any newsletter unsubscribe link or our Unsubscribe page to leave the list. Our form removes the local subscription record and membership in this newsletter group; MailerLite may retain account-level records, including suppression information. Contact submissions remain stored until manually removed; no automatic deletion period is currently implemented. Email rootandevidence@gmail.com or use Contact to request access, correction, or deletion. We may need to verify a request before acting.
External links and changes
Following Amazon or research links takes you to another service with its own privacy practices. We do not sell submitted emails through this site. The newsletter and contact form are intended for adults. This policy describes the current implementation and will be updated when practices change.
